ABOUT THE POEM BOOK
During the month of May in 2020, Tod Leben aka Cat Hartliebe used songs as a jumping off point for a poem. There were a few bonus poems during the month as well. Cyro wrote a couple poems, but really wasn’t involved in the month. There is no forcing a child.
The poems made because of a song will have double titles. The first is the actual name of the poem followed by the title of the song and singer in parentheses. At the end of the book will be a list of all of the songs so people can listen to the Poem A Day Playlist.
During May 2020, Tod Leben aka Cat Hartliebe was under quarantine for Covid-19. The confinement impacted the poems written during the month. This is another reason why Cyro was not pushed to create poetry.

Cat Gillette (the actual name behind the masks) has been writing their entire life. Poetry and fiction have been a grounding and safety net for them.
This is how they reduce stress and overcome emotions. Writing is how they figure things out and solve internal fights.
Words and language mean everything to them. The decision to publish is late in the making. 2012 offered the final “You should publish” comment before they decided on Cat Hartliebe as a pen name.
In 2013, Cat Hartliebe published Cursed Items and Random Poems of Cat Hartliebe in ebook format on Smashwords.
Tod Leben came into being when Cat Gillette realized the effects their work can have on others. Most of it deserves trigger warnings. In 2020, Cat had a breakdown that left everything pulled from the market. In 2021, Cat is slowly rebuilding everything back up.
